Job Description

Sprague Community Church, located in Sprague, WA which is 35 miles west of Spokane, is seeking a full time pastor. The church has approx. 80 worshippers. Sprague is a small town with a population of 450-500. The church building is a wonderful, updated, well maintained facility. There are currently 6 men on the leadership board who assist the pastor in the leadership of the church.
The church desires that their new pastor:
• Has personal devotion to Christ with a clear salvation testimony.
• Believes in the inerrancy of scripture and will preach and teach biblically sound messages.
• Has the ability to preach, teach, disciple, evangelize, and counsel using the Word of God.
• Will work to develop relationships in and out of the church, including reaching out to the community of Sprague on a personal level.
• Will work with the board, support AWANA, VBS, Sunday School, etc.
• In addition to Sunday services will conduct communion, baptisms, weddings, and funerals.

Qualifications

While education and experience are important, the church desires a man who has a clear call of God in his life to minister the gospel through pastoral ministry. If he is married, there can be no divorce post salvation. If he has a family, it must be in order and he must be leading it with all humility.
